FOR SALE: Diana+ Edelweiss Lomo Camera & goodies!!

Miu Miu Bowling Bag

Spotted this on Net-a-Porter, and am in love. The slate blue is perfect to match with anything and any season, and I love Miu Miu for their soft nappa leathers and casual-tidy styling that suit any occasion. It's like a Miu Miu version of YSL's Rive Gauche, especially in that modelling shot off the shoulder on that long strap.

Here's hoping it makes it to the sales!

Bag ban? FAIL.

Breaching my self-imposed ban on shopping, I've fallen head over heels for this stunning Mulberry Maxi Mabel in Denim Antiqued Leather. I've wanted a Maxi Mabel forever, and brand new at 1/4 retail - and yes, it's authentic! - this was a major win I couldn't pass by. Now I just need to sell things to cover it.. no purchasing outright for me, nuh-uh! Thing is, I wonder what I've got left to sell....

Hat tricks

A good hat is hard to find, but perhaps that's a thing of the past now that self-made milliner Eugenia Kim has hit the marketplace. From gorgeous cloche style caps and oversized beanies to the perfect fedora, her collection is both expansive and affordable.

Lømø Løcø!

I'm being lazy and reblogging myself from DND. Hope you don't mind?

Kthxbai!

I completed this roll of film a few weeks ago, but hadn't gotten around to taking it in for developing until today. And.. not too bad! Horrendously out of focus, but I do like the dreamy air it lends the shots, and the colours were more vivid than I expected.

The film was 400 with most shots taken on the 200, rather than 400, setting, after getting the previous roll back to find most shots looking as though I'd gone snap-happy in a coal cellar. I bought a roll of 100 today that I'll whack in there tomorrow and go crazy with.. I'm determined to finally get some great cemetary shots after wasting two or three rolls there so far with only gloomy results, but again those were with 200 and 400 film taken on their respective settings.

The cemetary here is desert style, soft dunes of sand and old weathered crosses, headstones with the writing long since lost into the wind-borne sand that have scoured them for decades. There's one stone with an inscription declaring it's owner the "first white woman in Charleville"; a tiny infant's grave with corroded metal fencing, the child's teddy bear still sitting upon it forgotten and lonely; and plenty of the most amazing angel headstones in all kinds of conditions.

Long shadows would be the best time to take the shots, but I'm not sure whether early or late light would be best. The paler early light might suit the situation best I guess, being cleaner and whiter than the evening orange it could suit backlit shots of those angels beautifully. Wish me luck!

Oh HAI there!

Tumbling..

I've a new blog on Tumblr, one that's more train of thought than this one is to me. Whenever I post here I feel like I need to make a 'proper' post, something that is easy enough once I get going, but seems like more energy to think of than I have to get started. Hence the irregular posts, haha!

I don't know why it's a problem for me, especially when FQF isn't a blog with a cogent reason or purpose - it's not like I need a point to post upon a pointless blog, surely? - but nonetheless it's that way, so I've made another place. I'll keep this blog and will still post here, but for my more spur-of-the-moment cognitive diarrheoa pop over to Do Not Disturb; toilet paper not included.

Can makes Cheezburger!

It's shitefully hot here, and we're only three days into summer.. I've been distracting myself from the fact that I am physically melting by having lolzalicious fun on ichc.com!
