DO WANT: Mulberry Poppy Satchel

Just found these little beauties on Mulberry.com.. part of Mulberry's new direction in using softer, suppler leathers than ye olde 5mm thick hides, they come in either the glazed Light Grainy leather, or Soft Goat hide.

The Poppy Satchel is not a large messenger - at 31cm x 28cm x 8cm it's just big enough for a light day out, or for popping out for a coffee with perhaps, or as a simpler nighttime bag - but is a lovely simple piece I fell instantly in love with.

The bag is available in the glazed Light Grainy in black or white, or in Soft Goat leaather in a delicate shade of sand. Perhaps it's because the glazed appearance of the black bears no small resemblance to Mulberry's Antique Glace leather of past seasons I so love, but right now I'd give my right ear for one of these babies in black. Rather expensive at £599 each, I might just have to..

The saddest little Speedy in the world... REALLY??!

This cropped up on tPF, and had me momentarily horrified - this poor old Speedy, at least 15 years old from the looks of it, said to be the innocent victim of a vicious dog attack.

Taking a second look, however, it seems more that a nasty incident involving a pair of scissors befell it.. but then again, maybe it's just the bottle of Malibu talking, but does this bag look to you like it's got the most stoner grin ever??!
