What does YOUR bag do?
I've been searching around for awhile for a simple canvas tote to roll up within my larger bags for epic shopping trips - the fact that said epic shopping trips are a thing of the past post Black October Credit Crunch notwithstanding - and whilst there are unbleached canvas totes aplenty out there on offer by commercial companies such as Chip Chop (I never thought them funny, did you?), and I'm Not a Plastic Bag (too expensive, and again, commercial), I simply hadn't found one that really stole my heart. To date I've been using various magazine freebie totes, but with nothing else really available that was both functional, enviro-friendly, and cheap (other than Coles green totes) I'd been more or less stumped.
Then on the tPF Marketplace one day cropped up this beauty - the My Bag Cares reuseable tote. The bag is gorgeous, simple, both enormously functional and just outright enormous, and has a fantastic ethos - for every tote bought, a tree is planted in conjunction with the Arbor Day Foundation. Finally, carbon trading for my shopping trips!

The lady selling this bag had spares left over from her wedding - she'd had the wonderful and thoughtful idea of purchasing a bunch of them as gifts for her wedding attendees, and reported them a massive hit. Now that I have one too I'm utterly in love with both the bag and the idea, and will be purchasing a dozen or so of these myself next month as Christmas gifts! Why waste wrapping paper on gifts when you can give them out with these bags? The bags come with a special card upon which you can note for whom the tree is planted (and to whom the bag and gift goes!), and I think would be wonderful and unique way to hand out your gifts come Christmas time. Mind you, the bags themselves would alone make wonderful gifts - I'm certainly over the moon with mine!
